Premium & Same Day Visa Services: Eligibility
To qualify for the Home Office’s Premium Visa Service, the applicant must already be in the UK and:
- wish to prolong their stay in the country; or
- wish to apply for indefinite leave to remain.
If you are considering the Premium Service for your visa application, it’s important to be aware that there are a number of individuals that are unable to use this route. These include (but are not limited to):
- Elderly dependants.
- Business persons, sole representatives or investors.
- Self-employed lawyers.
There are also a number of circumstances, that if applicable to you, will prevent you from using the Premium Service. For example:
- If you are applying for a Tier 1 (Entrepreneur or Graduate Entrepreneur) visa.
- If you are applying for naturalisation as a British national.
- If you are applying as a domestic violence victim.
Further, if your case is particularly complicated, it may take longer than 24 hours to process, or your application may even be considered inappropriate for the service.

Premium & Same Day Visa Services: Process
You must attend a premium service centre in person. There are seven centres in the UK; the closest one for and other London-based applicants is located in Croydon. Appointments must be booked in advance (up to 28 days ahead) and the fee for using the service must be paid at the same time as booking.
The fee for the Premium Service is £500, and this is on top of the standard cost for the type of visa you are applying for. If you need to book an appointment out of standard office hours, an additional payment of £63 is required. The appointment can be booked online – we can take care of this stage for you, meaning you will have one less thing to worry about.
Applicants must bring their completed visa application form with them to their appointment, as well as all the correct supporting documents. If you do not bring the right paperwork with you, your appointment will be delayed so that extra checks can be carried out, and in some cases, it may even be cancelled.
